Here is one of a pair of rare early canine films we are
hoping to release with the help of fellow silent collectors.
The other is "Phantom of the Forest" and is also listed on

Sign of the Claw stars canine star Peter the Great along
with Edward Hearn and Ethel Shannon.
"Peter the Great is after a pair of crooks along with his
master officer Conway. One of the crooks is the brother
of pretty gal Mildred (Shannon) whom officer Conway has
taken a liking to. Conway suspects the brother but refuses
to arrest him because of Mildred. When the kid brother
refuses to go along with a bank robbery his evil partner
Al Stokes ties him up and kidnaps Mildred. Conway is
trapped inside the bank and it's up to Peter the Great to
come to the rescue and save the day!"
This very rare film was brought to our attention by collector
Dan Condon, who we are working with to release this rare
treasure on dvd. The transfer will be be made from a 35mm
archival print and will boast a beautiful color sleeve/label and
will feature a digital music score.
